I will absolutely talk your ear off about a book you mentioned in passing four months ago. Consider yourself warned.

About

A Bartender
With A Book Problem

I'm B. Daniels — a Colorado native, a mother, a wife, and a bartender by trade. I've tried on a lot of careers, but bartending is the one I always came back to — there's something about creating a drink, or an experience, for someone that just fits.

In 2021, I got sober — the life-changing decision that, ironically, is what brought reading back into my life in a real way. Books became part of how I stayed grounded. In 2023, I went to my first-ever book convention, and that weekend changed things again.

That's where Taps & Tropes started — as a small way to blend my two passions. I began designing custom drink cards for authors: signature cocktails built around their characters and stories, something to hand out at signings or share online. What started small grew into something I never expected.

Bookish & Boozy is the natural next step — taking that same idea and expanding it into a full trope-themed cocktail companion, built for every romance reader who's ever wanted their book to follow them to the bar cart.

Every book gets a drink

A recipe when I've built one worth passing on, news about the book, and the odd story from behind the bar. Not often.
